[Cross Country] Falcon Cross Country Women Garner Votes in Latest NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll

Comments

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Friends University Falcons are now receiving votes in this week's NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll, the national office has announced.

Friends is the fourth top vote-getter in the poll and come in as the No. 29-ranked team overall.

"I'm extremely proud of our ladies and we are grateful for the recognition of receiving votes," said Jason Parr, Friends men's and women's cross country head coach.

"We have to continue to stay close to the opposing team and find ways to capitalize on the opportunities that are in front of us each race."

The Falcons have got off to a strong start to the 2018 campaign and are coming off a solid showing last Saturday (Sept. 15) at the MSSU Stampede that featured a third-place finish out of 20 teams.

Behind a performance by Christa Titus (SR/Grinnell, Iowa) that earned her the KCAC Cross Country Runner of the Week honor, the Falcons came out on top at the Warrior Fest Invite on Sept. 8 in Sterling, Kan.

The Falcons will next be in action on Oct. 6 at the Emporia State Invite in Emporia, Kan.
