[Cross Country] Falcon Cross Country to Compete at KCAC Championships Saturday

Comments

The Falcon cross country teams travel to Winfield Saturday to participate in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Southwestern College with an eye on the National Championships at Rim Rock in Lawrence on November 23rd.

Friends is the defending champion on the women's side and return three of the top 8 finishers in the KCAC Championships from last year's title team. Senior Rachel Renken (Downs, KS) placed 2nd last year, sophomore Haley Welch (Rose Hill, KS) placed 5th, and senior Connie Collins (Magnolia, OH) placed 8th.

On the men's side, the Falcons return two top-7 finishers at last years' meet in senior Brock Nooney (Haysville, KS) who finished 4th and junior Peyton Wade (Haviland, KS) who was 7th.

The KCAC is hosting the National Championships this year, so the 2nd place teams will join the conference champions at the Rim Rock.
