[Cross Country] Cross Country Runs Strong at MSSU Stampede SaturdayPublished by
JOPLIN, Mo. - The Men's and Women's Cross Country team ran their 2nd race of the season this past weekend at the MSSU Stampede on Saturday. The Women were the top finishing NAIA team, placing 3rd out of 17 teams, while the Men finished in 7th. The Men were led by both old and young as Max Burley (JR/Ponca City, OK) covered the course in 27:19 with Logan White (FR/Wichita, Kan.) close behind running his first ever 8K course in 27:26. The Week 1 KCAC Athlete of the Week, Christa Follette (SO/Grinnell, Iowa), led the women for the 2nd week in a row with a 5th place finish and a personal best time of 19:05.
