[Track and Field] Men's Track & Field Reclaims Outdoor Crown

Comments

LINDSBORG, Kan. - The Friends University men's track & field team accomplished the conference sweep on Saturday, May 2nd. They won the Outdoor Championship to follow up their Indoor Title, matching what the women's team did making it a "Falcons only" party for the 2014-15 season.

Going into the meet, the men were the favorite after finishing 2nd a year ago and then winning the Indoor conference title in February. A few late season injuries left a little bit of question in the air as to whether the Falcons could deliver. Riding an energized wave of unity and confidence, the team left no doubt over the two day meet, finishing 50 points ahead of the 2nd place team, Saint Mary. With balance and depth on their side, the Falcons managed to put up a whopping 176 points. Saint Mary was 2nd with 126, and McPherson College 3rd, with 107.5.
